Katrina
Seeking balance in her life, Katrina found herself taking her first Yoga Class in 2010 where her real yoga journey began. Instantly feeling a strong connection to herself and to yoga practice, she became a regular practitioner. As her focus shifted and her self awareness grew, her life dramatically changed. Katrina finally began to feel a sense of peace, inner stillness and joy, discovering the balance she had been seeking, developing a strong connection to inner self.
Passionate about yoga, she knew it would remain forever in her heart and life. Feeling drawn to go deeper, Katrina attended her first Teacher Training in 2012. As she began to explore other styles of yoga, she took her Yin Yoga and Hatha/Vinyasa teacher training. Feeling called to hold space for her community to heal through the power of yoga, Katrina opened her own yoga studio in 2015. She is the founder and current studio owner of Yoga Union in Tsawwassen, BC, Canada, where she continues to learn and grow on the journey of self realization.

Megan
Megan began her yoga journey in 2008, quickly fell in love, and has been a practitioner ever since. As her love for yoga grew, she started to branch out and explore different yoga styles and ways in which to move the body.
Megan's love for both fitness and yoga and everything it brings to both the body and mind lead her to her first 200-hour Yoga & Fitness teacher training in 2019. She then went on to complete her 300-hour yoga training in 2023, and Barre training in 2024.
Megan began sharing her passion with the community through teaching various styles of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Megan has also completed her Yin Yoga teacher training and is excited to share a slower side of the practice with the community.
Megan loves that yoga not only challenges you but also brings you peace at the same time, like a yin yang symbol it represents both sides. Her classes are a fun and exhilarating union of yoga, strength, and conditioning, with the intention to tap into the body's full potential, developing strength, and deepening mind-body connection.
When she’s not in the studio Megan loves to walk with to her dog, read, and go shopping.

Jen
Jen’s yoga journey began in 2010 when Bikram yoga first came to Tsawwassen. Though life took her in different directions, it wasn’t until returning from a transformative trip to Bali in 2021 that she fully reconnected with her practice. Since then, she’s been deeply committed to the Hot 26&2 series, finding both personal healing and empowerment through the discipline and breathwork the practice offers.
In March 2024, Jen completed her 250HR Hot Yoga (26&2) teacher training, along with a 70HR Yin Yoga certification—both through Yoga Union. These practices are an essential part of her toolkit for navigating life and supporting her nervous system. On and off the mat, Jen is passionate about the mental and physical benefits yoga brings, and she’s committed to sharing this with her community. "Yoga is a practice for life, so that we can move through life. It teaches us to harness the power of our breath, and reminds us that our minds and bodies are capable of moving through hard things."
Whether she’s teaching or practicing alongside you, Jen’s focus is always on moving with the breath—letting it wash through the body, into the deepest corners, creating space, release, and renewal.
Jen also wears many hats at Yoga Union. Beyond teaching, she’s a vital part of the team working front of house, managing the studio’s marketing, social media, and all things design—right down to the hand-lettering on the walls. With a professional background as a graphic designer and art director for major brands, she now blends her creative experience with her passion for yoga, bringing that energy into every corner of the studio.

Tami’s life mission is to create these spaces for healing, to encourage growth, so we can all build a life of light + love, embodying peace in vulnerability.

“We are not here to fix people. We are here to hold space while they remember their own strength.”
Rowena
Rowena never considered herself a natural-born yogi. So when her family invited her to a Bikram Yoga class years ago, her response was, “Sure, I’ll go—but I’ll hit the gym afterward for a real workout.”
That first class challenged her in unexpected ways—physically (“How do they keep their arms up so long?”) and mentally (“It’s so hot… where’s the door?”). But by the end, not only was her fitness itch scratched, she also discovered a deep sense of relaxation she hadn’t anticipated—and soon began to crave.
Before long, Rowena was attending classes on her own. A couple of years later, she enrolled in teacher training in Los Angeles and, after graduating, packed her bags to join her now-husband in Dubai, UAE.
She spent the next 17 years teaching and practicing yoga in a studio that, on many days, felt cooler than the desert heat outside. During her time in Dubai, Rowena became a mother to three children and bravely overcame a battle with breast cancer.
Now, more than a decade cancer-free and living in Tsawwassen, her husband’s hometown, Rowena is proud to be part of the Yoga Union community, where she continues to share her passion for yoga and connection.
“The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body.”

Christie
It’s so hard to describe my yoga journey in words. It first started with the birth of my second child and a tough journey out of a postpartum funk in my mid-30s. A friend took me to one of her hot yoga, Bikram classes and WOW - what a trip! I’d never experienced such a challenge in all my years of professional dance, high-level soccer, motherhood and life in general. It’s was a test of mind and body...watching all the mental and physical strength in that room was mind-blowing. I needed more, I was hooked!
My past teaching experiences in all genres of dance and fitness helped me take the plunge in February of 2019 to get my Yoga Teacher Training (and Barre) certification. What I’ve learned along the way is unexplainable in words and every day I continue the journey. If only I knew about it all in my teens and 20s. But part of the learning comes with being ready to accept what’s being offered. Ready to be vulnerable, ready to love and accept me with all the flaws, warts and weaknesses. Ready to celebrate all of it, be kind to me, and let the unnecessary stuff go!! Compassion for myself is a constant struggle, but I remind myself daily that I’m human. That I have all I need deep inside me and that letting go of expectations allows for the transformation to happen.
This is what I now want to share with my fellow yogis as I guide classes, through breath, sweat, sometimes tears and hopefully some laughter. Our Yoga Union community is the best gift I’ve ever had, to be part of this team and family! Come join us on this crazy journey. Maybe you’ll get hooked like me!
“Let the trees teach you that growth requires patience. Let the wind teach you that you can change direction & speed as you desire. Let the flowers teach you that beautiful things do not bloom all year long. Let the ocean teach you that you can be both calm & chaos, gentle & strong. Let the clouds teach you that when things get too heavy it is time to release. Let the stars teach you that darkness is needed to see the light. Let the sun teach you that no matter how long you’ve been hidden you will always rise again.”
Natasha
Natasha's yoga journey began in 2001, and she fainted after her first class! Love at first sweat, she practiced regularly until her world stood still after being struck by a drunk driver. Doctors warned she likely would not walk unassisted again. From her wheelchair, she began every morning with pranayama breathing and seated half moon. Yoga is for every and anybody! Two years later she attended her first yoga training at Bikram Yoga College of India (in Acapulco). As her practice continued to explore other disciplines, Natasha also completed Yin with Bernie Clark at Semperviva and Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Union. She is grateful to share space and practice within this beautiful community.

Colby
After spending nearly a decade as a competitive cheer and tumbling coach and athlete, Colby began searching for a new way to stay active. She explored weightlifting and HIIT training but never truly connected with those styles. Gradually, she shifted toward bodyweight circuits and yoga-inspired movement. She kept feeling drawn to attend a “real” yoga class but she kept talking herself out of it.
That changed in 2020 when Colby finally stepped into her first class at Yoga Union. She was immediately drawn to the emphasis on posture alignment and how intentional, low-impact movement could build strength from the inside out. As her practice deepened, she was struck by yoga’s ability to go beyond the physical; creating space for self-awareness, grounding, and connection.
In 2023, Colby completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training along with a 50-hour yin yoga training. She has since found a particular resonance in teaching yin, appreciating its stillness and subtlety.
Yoga has remained a steady presence for Colby through various life transitions, including pregnancy and postpartum. It continues to be a practice she returns to as it supports her in navigating change with clarity and care.
Colby looks forward to continuing her journey by exploring new lineages and diving deeper into the more subtle and energetic aspects of yoga.
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”

Her mission is to help students discover how yoga enhances well-being, builds strength, and fosters mindfulness.
